The
Sunset Beach Hotel (formerly known as The Kotu Strand
Village Hotel) is situated along the sandy Kotu Beach. This
Three Star hotel has undergone a complete renovation and
refurbishment. The owners and the Management have left no
stone unturned to ensure customer satisfaction is at its utmost.
All rooms are fully airconditioned, IDD telephone system and Cable TV (12 channels,
including CNN, BBC and TV5). There is also a plug for
possible
internet connection in all the rooms. The hotel is composed
of 71 Standard Rooms, 10 Deluxe Rooms and 16 Junior Suites
or Apartments. Junior suites & apartments are furnished with a small
kitchenette (very convenient for long staying guests.) All
rooms have
a Smoke/Fire Detector linked to a centrally located Fire
Control Panel.
Whilst stroling towards the beach of the
hotel, via "Sunset Boulevard", you can visit our colorful
garden with an immense variety of tropical plants and
flowers. Reaching the beach you will be surprised by the breathtaking view. As the name of the hotel
suggests the sunsets are truly awesome; every minute of an evening,
every evening of the week, you can enjoy, stare and admire
this splendid work of art, this creation of nature!
The east side of the hotel is adjacent to
the wetlands and we can ensure that many exotic birds are
waiting to sing for you a symphony of nature! If you are
just an admirer or a true ornithologist, do not forget your
camera and binoculars. Should you need some guidance and
detailed information, plenty of books on the Birds of West
Africa are available at local bookshops. You can also

the Kotu Bengdula (gathering place in Mandinka) Craft Market.
It is also within walking distance of the 18-hole Golf
Course.
